Meet Maher El Tabchy & Asmaa Lahlou
Maher El Tabchy is the founder of Tabchilli, one of the pioneering producers of fermented foods in the UAE. His journey into fermentation began over a decade ago, experimenting with a meticulous three-month pepper fermentation process that started as homemade gifts for family and friends. Based in Dubai, Maher is helping build a modern fermentation culture in the region, bringing authentic, naturally fermented products to everyday tables.
Asmaa Lahlou (naturopathic chef) is a certified Natural Chef from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, with additional training in Children’s Health & Nutrition and Sustainable Food Choices. As co-founder of MyAuthentikSpoon, she combines over 20 years of experience in change management with a passion for making nutrition and healthy eating simple, delicious, and accessible for the whole family.
